This limited edition marble print nylon coat (Aoyama Store exclusive model ¥182,000, Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store exclusive model ¥188,000) will be available in only 10 stores worldwide to celebrate the launch of the Fall/Winter collection in stores. Each store will feature different colored paper marbling, with 10 different designs.
Ebru is a traditional marbling technique typically used for the interior paper of books. This is the first time that it has been used on textiles and clothing, signifying the fusion of tradition and technology. This technique involves scattering oil paint on a water surface and transferring it to paper to create various motifs.

The Dries Van Noten design team spent time searching for skilled artisans willing to collaborate on the challenge of applying this technique to textiles, sharing their marbling knowledge with them. Over several days in their London studios, 300 unique pieces were created. The show's finale, in which a variety of vibrant and colorful marble prints clashed and overlapped like a cacophony, was an idea born when 300 marbling samples were lined up on the studio floor.
