The luxury hotel Andaz Tokyo (Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills) has officially launched its "Andaz Salon" project, a gathering of free and creative talent. The "Andaz Cinema Salon," a collaboration with the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF&ASIA), one of Asia's largest international short film festivals, will run from June 8th to 12th. "Andaz Salon" is a participatory social event that brings together various artistic disciplines, from music and fashion to film and food. It is a symbolic event at Andaz Tokyo, which aims to "provide an inspiring experience where creative individuals can share their passion and imagination and generate unexpected ideas." Previously, "Andaz Classic Salon Vol. 1" was held in April in collaboration with "Classic for Japan," a project launched with the aim of promoting classical music in Japan. In May, a salon was held in collaboration with "The Container," a contemporary art gallery in Nakameguro. This year's "Andaz Cinema Salon" is a collaboration with "SSFF & ASIA," Asia's largest international short film festival, headed by actor Tetsuya Bessho. The program is based on the concepts of "personality" and "Tokyo," and will feature screenings of various short films and talk sessions related to the films. From June onwards, other events are planned, including a rooftop cinema 250 meters above ground, where participants can enjoy films and engage in dialogue. A salon aiming to create new value by fusing fashion and technology, and a salon showcasing Japanese craftsmanship and traditional performing arts through the sensibilities of international artists, are also planned.
