Two special editions of "QUOTATION" featuring conversations with Shiina Ringo and Yasushi Akimoto, "a book entirely about Mika Ninagawa," will be released simultaneously

Two books featuring photographer and film director Mika Ninagawa will be released simultaneously on May 20th as special editions of the creative journal magazine "QUOTATION."

"QUOTATION BOOKS: couleur 'Getting to Know 20 Years of Mika Ninagawa'" (1,600 yen), which summarizes Mika Ninagawa's 20 years of work, features 46 pages of photographs, including new works. It also includes special interviews with 10 specialists working in various industries.

The lineup includes lyricist Yasushi Akimoto, teamLab founder Toshiyuki Inoko, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings CEO Taiyo Onishi, UNDERCOVER designer Jun Takahashi, and manga artist Akiko Higashimura, who won the 8th Manga Taisho Award for her manga "Kakkaku Shikajika."

Meanwhile, "QUOTATION SPECIAL ISSUE: A noir volume, the edgy Mika Ninagawa" (1,200 yen) features a lengthy conversation with singer-songwriter Ringo Shiina, who composed the music for the film "Sakuran," directed by Mika Ninagawa. It also features 40 pages of photographs, including some that have not yet been exhibited, focusing on works that have been well-received at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art.
