Loro Piana is launching pants and a jacket in deep blue Cash Denim, an innovative new material, for its Fall/Winter 2022-23 women's collection.

Developed through the valuable sharing of knowledge and experience between Loro Piana artisans in Piedmont, Italy, and denim production specialists in the Bingo region of Japan (Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures), the fabric represents a creative fusion of two cultures in pursuit of perfection.

As its name suggests, Cash Denim is a blend of denim and cashmere. Its unique beauty is evident in the warm texture created by the interweaving of warp and weft threads. To achieve the exquisite blend of 60% cotton and 40% cashmere, Cash Denim was painstakingly woven by artisans using vintage looms, which are now rare today. Crafted with the artisanal know-how of the Bingo region, this traditional denim is immensely sought after by jeans enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.

Producing cashmere denim requires meticulous care. Crafted from dyed denim warp yarns and undyed cashmere weft yarns, it takes a full day to weave 50 meters of denim. Combined with the true savoir-faire of Japanese denim culture, Loro Piana presents a new generation of ultra-luxurious utility designs.

This rare collaboration between two of the world's leading textile regions was made possible by the mutual respect for each other's craftsmanship. On the one hand, there is the traditional know-how of the Bingo region, which produces unique selvedge denim using special shuttle looms. On the other, there is Loro Piana's Italian culture, striving for excellence and pushing boundaries with cutting-edge innovations.

This season's Cash Denim jeans and jackets are deliberately simple in design, with the sole purpose of elevating everyday wear to the exquisite luxury of Loro Piana. Wearing them evokes the origins of two cultures that inspire each other in the relentless pursuit of perfection, no matter how long it takes.
