Miu Miu will release the fifth capsule collection of denim wear for "Miu Miu Upcycled." Launched in December 2020, the sustainable project "Miu Miu Upcycled" is a special collection that remakes precious items carefully selected from vintage shops and markets around the world in a Miu Miu style. In addition to celebrating vintage wear, it promotes circular fashion and passes on the value inherent in history and timeless beauty to enrich the present and future.

Following the first wave of projects, which featured a special collection of vintage dresses; the second, a collaboration with Levi's® distressed denim announced in May 2021; the third, a collection of leather jackets announced in November 2022; and the fourth, a collection of denim clothing and leather patch bags announced in January 2024, the fifth wave will also focus on upcycling denim. Known for its durability, denim is beloved as a material that tells its own unique story thanks to the unique patina it develops through physical and symbolic changes that occur as it ages.

For the fifth installment, expertly selected denim from specialist denim retailers around the world has been used to deconstruct garments, unstitching them and then refinishing them with suede trimmings and bold white stitching. The remade jeans are loose-fitting and low-rise, while the tops and micro-mini shorts feature the signature Miu Miu cropped length. Snap buttons have been carefully removed and reattached, engraved with the Miu Miu logo. The blouson jacket has also been reshaped, now shorter, and the front buttons have been replaced with a front zip trimmed in suede.
The campaign images for this collection, photographed by Tarek Kassim, feature models Ana Elisa Brito, Wenqing Liu, and Alice McGrath. The collaged portraits echo the design process of "Miu Miu Upcycled," shining a light on both the products and the people who wear them.
The fifth capsule collection of "Miu Miu Upcycled" will be available only at select Miu Miu stores worldwide and the official online store, and in Japan at five stores: Aoyama Store, Ginza Store, Shinjuku Isetan 3F Store, Umeda Hankyu 5F Store, and Shinsaibashi Daimaru Store.
