For Father's Day, give a Nishijin-ori tie with a message. Also used in the TV drama "Flying Public Relations Office"

Jun 5, 2013

FORTUNA Tokyo, a tie brand using Nishijin brocade, has announced new ties for Father's Day. The three ties are titled "Victory," "Miracle," and "Romance." Each comes with a message card that reads, "Sincerely hope for your victory," "In this vast universe, the fact that we are now together is already a miracle," and "Don't forget your curiosity, romance is always on your side." The navy blue color of the Miracle ties was used in the TBS drama "Flying Public Relations Office." Prices range from 8,400 to 10,500 yen. The idea for the collection came about when the brand's designer saw an article in 2012 in which ties ranked highly in the Father's Day gift rankings, and was inspired to design a gift for her own father. "As a daughter, I really want my father to stay healthy forever. I'd rather he stay active and energetic working than get old and retire early. With that wish in mind, I created the designs, which represent 'Victory,' 'Miracle,' and 'Romance,'" said the female designer.
