BOOK AND BED TOKYO, run by real estate select shop R-STORE under the concept of a "bookstore where you can stay overnight," is a hostel where you can experience that blissful moment of falling asleep while reading, something that everyone has probably experienced at least once. When it opened in Ikebukuro in November 2015, it was featured in international media as a new expression of Tokyo culture, garnering global attention. It also gained attention for its collaborations with select shop 1LDK, pajama manufacturer NOWHAW, and stationery shop Traveler's Factory.

The fifth store, the Shinjuku store, was handled by Soda design for graphic design, Indigo Gunji Saori for interior design, and SHIBUYA PUBLISHING & BOOKSELLERS (SPBS) for book selection. The library features beds embedded within bookshelves, giving the feeling of sleeping inside. The library's collection of approximately 2,400 books is housed within shelves that can hold up to 4,000. A daytime plan, which allows guests to use the lounge space during the day without staying overnight, will also be available starting on the 23rd, the day after the facility's opening.

The Shinjuku store will house "by BOOK AND BED TOKYO," a pop-up shop previously operated in Fukuoka and Nagoya, as the facility's first cafe. Opening on May 23rd, the cafe will feature a black theme and serve black-themed drinks and food, including black lattes. The coffee served here is made with beans roasted by "Coffee Supreme" and "Fuglen Tokyo." It's open from 11:00 to 20:00, and is available for non-guests and takeaway.
Reservations for overnight stays can be made online (http://bookandbedtokyo.com/).
