SERGE de bleu, a brand offering high-quality jeans made using handcrafted techniques and innovative techniques, will be hosting a limited-time pop-up store from April 11th to 24th at Global Closet/Jeaning on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
SERGE aims to create a wardrobe full of high-quality comfort, based on 100% cotton denim in natural colors. The jeans, which are made in Japan from the materials to the sewing and processing, are all soaked in natural flower oils, resulting in comfortable wear, a soft feel, and antibacterial properties that make them gentle on the skin. The oil components and indigo oxidize and yellow, creating a unique manufacturing process that sets the product apart from regular indigo blue, resulting in a warm and gentle vintage blue hue. Many of the processes are done by machine, with careful, time-consuming handwork resulting in delicate finishes. The hand embroidery on the left edge of the front pocket also embodies the feelings of the maker.
This pop-up will feature a wide variety of styles, including "DRY", which retains a rigid texture, "USED", which has a natural faded look like it has been worn in, "PLEAT", which has pleats on the sides, and "ARROW FEATHERS", which features embroidery inspired by arrow feathers.
Collaboration Model with Sayaka Davis
Some of the models are collaborations with SAYAKA DAVIS, a Japanese women's designer brand based in New York. Based on the theme of "A new kind of authentic," this special capsule collection makes the most of the theories and techniques of supple, soft denim made using Serge's unique manufacturing method and the artisan's handcrafting techniques, and expresses a new style of denim with a playful twist using Serge's signature coloring and accents.
