On the 12th, Swiss watch brand Swatch held a launch party in Tokyo's Ginza district to celebrate the release of the Swatch Scuba Libre, a redesigned model that is being reissued for the first time in 10 years. Christophe Savio, president and CEO of Swatch Group Japan, appeared at the ocean-themed venue. "Swatch is reborn every year, and this year marks our 30th anniversary. We opened our flagship store in Shibuya last month. Scuba is an iconic model. Libre means freedom in French. Today, I want you to enjoy freedom," he said. Singer Thelma Aoyama also performed live, singing three songs, including m-flo's "Come Agein." The model comes in three styles: "Mad About Diving," "Styling," and "Performing," each in three colors. It's water resistant to 20 atmospheres and costs 10,500 yen. It's available at Swatch directly managed stores nationwide, retailers that stock it, and online stores.
