Tokyo Midtown Hibiya (1-1-2 Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which is scheduled to open on March 29th, held a preview for members of the press on the 22nd. The large-scale complex, consisting of 35 above-ground floors, 4 below-ground floors, and a total floor area of 189,000 square meters of office and commercial space, marks the second such facility to open following the Roppongi facility.

The facility is conveniently located with direct access to three subway stations: Hibiya, Yurakucho, and Ginza. The basic design and construction were handled by Hopkins Architects, a world-renowned British architectural firm. The upper floors are based on the concept of a "dancing tower," inspired by the Rokumeikan that once stood in Hibiya, while the lower floors follow the image of the stone-clad walls of the Sanshin Building, which was highly praised as an Art Deco structure. This has resulted in a dignified exterior design.
The commercial area, which stretches from the basement to the seventh floor, was unveiled on this day. It is lined with a total of 60 stores, including 6 stores making their Japan debut, 15 stores making their retail debut in a commercial facility, and 22 stores with new business formats. The common areas are based on the concept of a "theatrical space city," and have been finished with a glamorous interior brimming with adult charm, befitting Hibiya, a mecca for arts, culture, and entertainment.

Also opening on the third floor is the arcade-style complex "HIBIYA CENTRAL MARKET," a collaboration between creative director Minami Takayuki and long-established bookstore Yurindo, which stands out within the building. Seven different shops gather in a large space, creating an unprecedented market-like space that will attract a wide range of customers.

By adding two screens in the adjacent Tokyo Takarazuka Building, one of the largest cinema complexes in central Tokyo was born. Also on the sixth floor is "BASE Q," a business collaboration hub that supports the creation of new industries. It consists of "Q CAFE by Royal Garden Cafe," which promotes interaction and provides a workplace for people who gather at BASE Q; "Q KITCHEN," a food-based interaction and communication space; "Q STUDIO," which can be used for various purposes such as exhibitions; "Q LOUNGE," a members-only community space; and "Q HALL," a cutting-edge information dissemination space.
