Louis Vuitton's new fragrance, a bright, hopeful, and fresh scent that symbolizes "dawn"

Mar 21, 2018

A new fragrance, "Le Jour Se Lève," will be joining the Louis Vuitton fragrance collection.

Louis Vuitton launched its fragrance collection, "Les Parfums Louis Vuitton," in 2016, releasing seven fragrances, each with a unique story, like the many encounters that arise along the journeys of the Maison. The eighth fragrance, "Le Jour Se Lève," created by the Maison's in-house master perfumer, Jacques Cavallier, will now be released.

The key ingredient is mandarin, one of Jacques Cavalier's favorite ingredients. This is blended with Chinese jasmine sambac, the same species used in Asian green tea, magnolia petals, osmanthus with a subtle hint of apricot, and a slightly pungent blackcurrant. Each element blends together in the gentle rain, creating a fresh, lively scent with a gentle musk finish, evoking a "bright, hopeful light" before a journey.

The subtly colored fragrance is housed in a bottle with the same iconic design as the original fragrance collection. In addition to the 100ml (30,000 yen) and 200ml (43,000 yen) sizes, four 7.5ml travel spray bottles (30,000 yen) and travel spray refills (17,000 yen) will also be available.

The fragrance will be available at select Louis Vuitton stores and on the official website from March 15th.
