Bringing together models who flex their individual personalities, the campaign celebrates the power of community. Set in the bright Los Angeles sunshine, the bold imagery and film focus on the collection's theme of "belonging," creating a sense of unity through the power of self-expression.
The campaign explores alternative identities, building on the brand's house code of "duality." Shot in an elevated studio setting for the womenswear collection and candid, outdoor shots for the menswear collection, the campaign showcases a bold combination of Burberry's distinct codes and a fresh vision for the future. Burberry's Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci, once again taps photographer duo Inez and Vinoodh, friends of the brand, to further explore the brand's avant-garde approach, while stylist Lotta Volkova brings definition and a new perspective to the attitude expressed throughout the collection. Playfully reimagining heritage, the classic women's trench is reimagined as a voluminous strapless gown, retaining its signature details, while chain-link elements adorn the car coat. The womenswear collection includes waxed cotton coats and field jackets, as well as a vintage-inspired candy pink and red floral lace corset top with a matching pleated skirt, and a black leather bodysuit and skirt. The Lola bag also appears in the campaign, celebrating the heritage of the brand and its founder, Thomas Burberry. For men, a dark amber hooded duffle coat is reimagined with statement leather straps and trim, while tailored high-waisted trousers are layered over a polo shirt. A cotton poplin shirt is paired with a diamond-quilted floor-length skirt. Resurrecting the knight on horseback motif from the Burberry archives, a symbol of community spirit featured throughout the collection, the campaign offers a contemporary reinterpretation and features members of the Compton Cowboys, a Black non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, USA. As part of the partnership, Burberry supports the organization's mission to combat stereotypes and uplift the local African American community by building lasting skills through connections with horseback riding and the outdoors.
