On January 20th, Abe Chitose's sacai held its Fall/Winter 2018-19 men's and Pre-Fall 2018 women's collection shows at a garage in the North Marais district, also known as the former home of Liberation newspaper. The show also featured a limited-edition collection in collaboration with UGG®. Using "Truth," a keyword used in a New York Times campaign last year, as a starting point, the brand explored concepts of truth, perception, and authenticity. The collection boldly proclaimed its determination to stand up against obstacles to creativity and create something new while remaining true to its own beliefs and identity. The show opened with pieces inspired by Fair Isle knitwear. Relaxed, warm pieces dominated, including knit pullovers adorned with voluminous fringe and blousons featuring military elements. The blousons, in particular, feature a cocoon-like silhouette that hugs the body, allowing for different styles to suit your mood.

There's also a wide variety of items featuring checks and tartan, a trend this season. From bomber-style jackets with military details to blanket-style coats and down jackets, each piece showcases the brand's signature blend of different materials.

The floral print, a collaboration with Reyn Spooner, a long-established aloha shirt manufacturer, is also dazzling. The contrast of military details lends a touch of irony to the modern era.

Based on UGG®'s classic boots, this limited-edition collaboration collection incorporates Sacai's hybrid aesthetic, reconstructing UGG®'s iconic sheepskin boots with striped knit on the instep. Available in three colors and two shaft heights. The collection is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2018 at Sacai stores, Dover Street Market, and the UGG® official website.
