Our Thursday series features must-read books from each branch of art bookshop NADiff. This week's featured book is "Tanikawa Shuntaro Question Box" by Tanikawa Shuntaro, whose exhibition is currently being held at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. It's introduced by Gallery 5, a branch in Shinjuku, Tokyo (Tokyo Opera City Tower, 3-20-2 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, 3F).

■ "Tanikawa Shuntaro Question Box Under the Starry Sky" by Tanikawa Shuntaro
Even at the age of 86, poet Tanikawa Shuntaro continues to weave words that captivate people of all ages, from children to the elderly. This book is a sequel to the popular book, compiled from questions and answers originally published in the "Tanikawa Shuntaro Question Box" section of the Hobonichi Itoi Shimbun website, as well as newly written answers by Tanikawa to questions not previously published online.
The questions posed to "Tanikawa-san" by people of all ages, from six to sixties, range from simple doubts and current events to family issues and how to write poetry. Many of these questions are based on questions that everyone has at least once in their daily lives, and as you read this book, you will often find yourself experiencing blissful moments as Tanikawa-san's words connect with your own daily life. While this is a simple book of questions and answers from Tanikawa-san, just as the title suggests, it is one that will leave you with a sparkle like stardust in your heart after reading. It would make a great gift for someone special.

The Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery is currently holding the "Tanikawa Shuntaro Exhibition." We hope you will enjoy it along with this book.
