John Lawrence Sullivan's tailored collection portrays a creepy psychopath. [Men's Fall/Winter 2018-19]

London Men's Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2018-19 took place from January 6th to 8th. This season, approximately 10 brands, including J.W. Anderson, Martin Rose, and MIHARA YASUHIRO, withdrew, and the schedule was shortened by one day. The UK economy is facing a worsening economic downturn due to the collapse of the pound. Hoping to invigorate the fashion industry with the energy and eccentricity of London's young talent, John Lawrence Sullivan opened the show. This marks his third show in London. This season, inspired by the American TV series "Twin Peaks" and the film "Taxi Driver," the collection focused on psychopaths and killers. The street elements of last season's collection, inspired by German culture, were removed, and designer Yanagawa's signature tailored look was highlighted. The Western influences of accessories such as cowboy boots, loop ties and hip belts contrasted with the tailoring, but also brought out an eerie, multifaceted personality. Sharp sunglasses, tight leather gloves and the models' hunched, brisk walks exuded the boxing style that is the brand's DNA.

John Lawrence Sullivan is gaining prominence by showcasing the multifaceted appeal of tailoring, which goes beyond simply being beautiful and gentlemanly. As a Japanese designer active on the world stage, he is a name to look forward to.
