The 35th MODE IN FRANCE 2014 Spring/Summer Collection, a comprehensive women's ready-to-wear and accessories exhibition organized by the French Women's Ready-to-Wear Federation, will be held for three days from July 17th to 19th on the 27th and 28th floors of the Hilton Tokyo Hotel in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo. This year, 54 brands from 49 companies are scheduled to exhibit, including 20 first-time exhibitors. 49 brands from France, 3 brands from the UK, and 2 brands from Spain will be showcasing their latest collections, just unveiled at the Paris exhibition. Due to the European economic downturn, the number of exhibitors has been increasing year by year, from 21 companies and 24 brands in the July 2011 exhibition to 35 companies and 40 brands in the July 2012 exhibition. While the July exhibition is usually held on one floor, this time it will occupy two floors, just like the fall/winter season. The 27th floor is divided into "FASHION," which brings together contemporary and creative brands, and the 28th floor is divided into "TALENT," which brings together well-established brands and brands with promising future prospects, with each floor having its own unique characteristics. Additionally, ATELIERS PARISIENS, a made-in-France fur collection by a female designer formerly of CARVEN, will continue to offer fur and leather for spring/summer, as it did last year, along with new sportswear from NUNI, a French golf wear brand that has previously been licensed in Japan, and GUIBERT PARIS, which originally began as a saddlery manufacturer. Other new exhibitors include L'ATELIER DES DAMES, a costume jewelry brand started by four fishermen's wives, LES RACINES DU CIEL, which uses eco-friendly materials, and OLIVIER PHILIPS, who gained experience at Christian Lacroix.
