Reebok releases sneakers designed by Stash. Graffiti artists from around the world participate.

Jun 24, 2013

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of the Classic Leather, Reebok is collaborating with graffiti artist STASH to release the "City Classics" (12,600 yen), a reissue of the classic leather. The City Classics were designed by STASH himself and 12 artists selected by STASH to represent cities around the world. Each artist's signature graffiti work is printed on the body. A total of 13 models will be available, with six available in Japan: STASH, Wane (New York), Eklips (Los Angeles), Rimo (Tokyo), Rae Martini (Milan), and Monster (Paris). The STASH, Wane, Eclipse, and Limo models will be available in sizes from 26.0 to 29.0cm and will be available on the Reebok online shop and at select stores starting next month. The two models, the Rae Martini and Monster, are custom versions of the classic women's model, the Freestyle. Available in sizes 23.0 to 25.5cm, they will be released on September 1st.

Stash was founded in Long Island, New York in 1967. At the age of 17, his work was exhibited alongside Keith Haring and Jean-Michael Basquiat, and he is known as a living legend of graffiti art. He has also collaborated with Nike and A Bathing Ape.
