LINE@, which covers everything from luxury brands to gyaru brands, has released its first official guidebook

Jun 26, 2013

The first official guidebook for the LINE@ app, which is being used by brands like Loewe, Ralph Lauren, and Uniqlo, titled "Customer Attraction and Management for a Successful Business: 100 New Rules for Small Business Managers and Staff" (Tribal Media House, ¥2,310), will be published on the 28th. LINE, the free calling and messaging app, has over 150 million registered users worldwide, with over 45 million in Japan. LINE@, a commercial service, allows users to send messages and images to customers, readers, and local residents via LINE, as well as coupons and sales information using a promotional page function not available to the general public. Since its launch in 2012, the service has seen an increase in the number of companies using it, thanks in part to its low monthly fee of ¥5,250. This book features interviews with companies using LINE@, from major brands like PARCO and Tower Records to small shops with roots in the local community, including Lip Service, a women's brand by Kresge that quickly reached 10,000 friends after opening an account. It also introduces know-how for using LINE@ effectively, including key points for distribution, how to analyze data, and tips for improvement.
