Parco Grand Bazaar collaborates with the LINE app! Shop also opens

Jun 19, 2013

The communication app "LINE" will open its first nationwide shop at Parco's summer bargain sale, "Grand Bazaar," starting July 4th. The shop will be open for a limited time during the sale at 14 Parco locations, including Shibuya and Kichijoji. Shop-exclusive items, stationery, and mascots will be available, including smartphone cases (¥1,890) featuring LINE characters like Brown and Cony, and clear files featuring all LINE characters (¥210). Visitors to the store will receive a message card with a serial number that allows them to download the second set of Parco Ara stamps. Additionally, the first 10,000 "friends" of Parco's official account will receive a coupon for a chance to win an original sticker lottery ticket when they present it at any Parco store during the redemption period. There will be a total of 30 designs, featuring five characters, including LINE stamp characters and Parco's own character, Parco Ara, with six patterns each. If you find a winning ticket in your bag, you'll receive a LINE shop-exclusive earphone jack mascot set.

In advance of this campaign, Parco opened an official LINE account on May 14th. It is already used by over 3.6 million people, and each of the 19 Parco stores nationwide has over 100,000 accounts. Until the 1st of next month, Parco is distributing the first set of Parcoara stamps for free to registered "friends."

Parcoara is a Parco character that debuted at the Grand Bazaar in winter 2009. She has appeared alongside numerous celebrities in commercials, posters, and other advertising, including in the film "Yellow Elephant" starring Aoi Miyazaki and the film "Helter Skelter" starring Erika Sawajiri.
