The Marble Lounge on the first floor of Hilton Tokyo will be holding its annual "Strawberry Dessert Fair" from December 26th to May 31st, 2018.

This year's theme is "Strawberry Psychedelic 60s." Dyed a bright red to rival the psychedelic color schemes of the decorations, the roughly 30 strawberry desserts are a lineup that strawberry lovers will drool over, created by Osamu Handa, who has been Hilton Tokyo's executive pastry chef since January 2017. Inspired by the pop art and fashion of the 1960s, which was all the rage at the time, you can enjoy a slightly mysterious and psychedelic world in this lounge.


The "Strawberry Tart" is a crispy almond crust topped with large strawberries and marshmallows, while the bite-sized "Strawberry Macaron" is a pink macaron topped with rose-flavored cream, raspberry jam, and fresh strawberries. In addition to classic favorites like the "Strawberry Charlotte Cake," which combines vanilla cake with the gentle flavor of tart strawberries, new creations are being introduced one after another, including the "Strawberry Open Face Cake," a bittersweet chocolate sponge cake filled with whipped cream and strawberries and drizzled with a generous amount of chocolate sauce, and the "Berry Mousse," a strawberry-shaped mousse cake made with strawberries, raspberries, and red currants.


Other photogenic menu items include the Rainbow Shortcake, colorfully topped with M&M's® and chocolate sprinkles, and the Coconut and Mango Mousse, decorated with a psychedelic colored glaze. In addition to desserts, light meals such as sandwiches and pasta are also available, which change daily.
