Gucci launches art and digital gift-giving campaign for the holiday season

Nov 16, 2017

Gucci has launched a special gift-giving campaign for the holiday season. Offering a wide range of items from handbags and jewelry to shoes, Gucci Decor porcelain T-shirts, and children's items, the brand is developing an innovative digital program themed around gift-giving.

The centerpiece of the campaign is the "Gift Giving Book," featuring digital artwork by Spanish artist Ignasi Monreal. The artwork in the book incorporates Gucci gift items into a story inspired by the Greek myth of "The Fall of Icarus."

The Gucci app for smartphones and tablets offers special interactive content, including filters that can be used to customize photos, personalized digital greeting cards that can be sent, a digital gift-giving catalog with interactive programs, and augmented reality (AR) software that displays animations when stickers displayed on Gucci store windows are scanned. The gift-giving campaign will also be featured on the Gucci website (gucci.com), and new illustrations themed around the new eyewear will be featured on Gucci Art Walls in Milan and New York.

Window displays in Gucci stores will also be in line with the campaign, adding even more excitement to the holiday season. The uplifting and dazzling window displays Gucci gift items in an imaginative and captivating display, centered around a yellow temple decorated with candy pink LED neon frames. This window display will also be available in Japan from early December.
