Hender Scheme to hold event on the theme of "aging" at Sukima and The Conran Shop Shinjuku flagship store

Nov 4, 2017

Hender Scheme will be holding a joint event titled "Case Study" on the theme of "changes over time" at its flagship store, Sukima, and The Conran Shop Shinjuku flagship store from November 3rd to 12th. This third event will focus on the aging of leather, showcasing the various changes that occur over time and with use, alongside exhibits of Hender Scheme's shoes and accessories. This will also mark the first time that aged accessory models will be exhibited. The flagship store, Sukima, will display and sell a selection of leather shoes for the fall/winter season, including the brand's classic "manual industrial products" collection, as well as items from the archives. The Conran Shop Shinjuku flagship store will offer a wide variety of lifestyle goods, from interior décor to accessories, including shaker boxes, wall clocks, and wallets made from vegetable-tanned leather. At both venues, new and aged items will be on display, allowing visitors to enjoy the different expressions of leather through the actual items.

Hender Scheme, which launched in the autumn/winter 2010 season, develops products centered on shoes and leather accessories from its atelier in Asakusa, Tokyo. Its concept is to "design not only the product itself, but also the process and progression." "Case Study" is a regularly held event that embodies the brand's manufacturing philosophy.
