Louis Vuitton's megastore opens at Place Vendôme, creating a new monument in Paris

Oct 8, 2017

Louis Vuitton's new boutique, Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme, opened on October 4th. Located at 2 Place Vendôme in Paris, where the world's most renowned jewelers gather, the large-scale store is connected to the building on Rue Saint-Honoré, where many luxury boutiques are located.

While Louis Vuitton has several stores in Paris, both street-level and in department stores, Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme exudes an unparalleled sense of exclusivity. The store offers a full range of lines, from men's and women's ready-to-wear collections, leather goods including bags, to fine jewelry. It also features an "apartment" as a private space for VIP clients. Another unique feature is the in-store presence of two ateliers for fine jewelry, fittings, and customization. The collection also boasts a unique lineup, including the debut of the "Objet Nomade" travel and home collection by renowned designers such as the Campana Brothers and Marcel Wanders. The second installment of the "MASTERS" collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koons will also be available for pre-sale. The design was created by architect Peter Marino, who has worked on numerous LVMH boutiques. The interior pursues simplicity to highlight the merchandise, while the floors are covered in Versailles-style parquet, in keeping with the style of the historic building, which was built in the early 18th century. Along with the store's luxurious interior, the exterior décor is also noteworthy. The gold radiating object, evocative of Louis XIV, known as the Sun King, stands out in the surrounding area. It has already become a globally famous social media spot, and many have likely already seen it. It's like adding another new monument to Paris.
