"Nenge," a book co-authored by SIMPLICITY representative Ogata Shinichiro and plant artist Kawamoto Satoshi, is being published. This book is a collection of photographs from the perspective of "stillness and movement" of works from a joint exhibition by Ogata Shinichiro and Kawamoto Satoshi held in April 2016 at Yakumo Saryo, where Ogata Shinichiro is the host.
"Under the concept of "Japanese cultural creation in the modern era," Ogata Shinichiro, who attempts to express Japan in various forms, has worked with Kawamoto Satoshi to trace the trajectory of contemporary flowers that is neither ikebana nor flower arrangement.

Nenge [Picking Flowers] This is taken from the story of the "Picking Flower Smile." While preaching on Mount Vulture Peak, Shakyamuni picked up a flower and showed it to the crowd. Only Mahakasyapa understood his meaning and smiled, silently imparting the truth of Buddhism to him. This demonstrates the wonder of mastering the law through telepathy.
