Puma x Rihanna's FENTY University opens! Pop-ups at Laforet Harajuku and Shinjuku Isetan

Sep 22, 2017

PUMA's school-themed 2017 Fall/Winter collection, "FENTY PUMA by Rihanna," will be available from September 28th. To celebrate, two pop-up stores will open in Tokyo.

The pop-up, themed "FENTY University," fuses sports and high fashion, offering items that anyone can coordinate freely. FENTY's creative director, Rihanna, drew inspiration from the diverse cultures and styles of students she sees in school hallways and locker rooms.

For the third season, the collection features uniforms with a genderless yet flashy oversized look, a signature FENTY x PUMA signature. Additionally, the collection includes coach jackets, soccer jersey-inspired dresses, uniform-inspired skirts, tracksuits and bodysuits made from velour and polyester, cropped and oversized polo shirts, and baseball shirts. The pieces also feature Rihanna's lucky number 13 and lettering representing her birth year, 1988, throughout the collection. They also feature FENTY x PUMA piercing zippers, branded buttons, and trim. The accessories offered this time range from bags in various sizes and styles to oversized teddy bear bags, vanity cases, and envelope bags. Ivy League-style scarves and chokers complete the collegiate look. New footwear options include high heels, transparent wedges, rain boots, knitwear, and over-the-knee boots. The iconic "Creeper" sneaker is available in two styles: the "Cleated Creeper Suede," which features a thicker sole, and the "Ankle Strap Sneaker," which adds an ankle strap. The "Cleated Creeper Suede" will be available from August 31st.

In addition, from September 28th to October 1st, a pop-up store produced by DJ Mademoiselle Yulia will be held at GR8 in Laforet Harajuku. Models will be offering styling suggestions to visitors. In addition, from November 1st to 7th, a pop-up store will also be open at East Park/Promotion on the 2nd floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku.

In Japan, the brand will be available at Puma Store Harajuku, Osaka, and Kyoto, as well as at the online store (jp.puma.com).
