Shinsei Kamattechan's first calendar is bursting with personality

Dec 14, 2012

The rock band "Kamisama Kamattechan" has released their first calendar, the "Kamisama Kamattechan x TOKYO FM Original Collaboration Calendar" (1,200 yen).
The calendar, a project for the TOKYO FM program "FM Kamattechan," where "Kamisama Kamattechan" serves as a personality, features a unique gimmick related to the album "To August 32nd," released in August 2011. The wall-hanging, full-color calendar features famous quotes and treasured photos from vocalist Noko. It's available for purchase on TOKYO FM's official shopping site, "Shops.Love," as well as at Lawson Loppi machines.
Kamisama Kamattechan, a four-member rock band popular for their songs expressing dark memories and anxious emotions and their destructive performances, is comprised of Noko (vocals, guitar), mono (keyboards), Chibagin (bass), and Misako (drums). Noko promoted the band on the anonymous message board "2channel," and attracted attention with guerrilla street performances and video streaming. They were selected from 1,600 bands that applied through a general public call for entries and performed at "Summer Sonic '09." The following March, 2010, they released their first mini-album, "Even If I Kill My Friends," and signed with Warner Music Japan. To commemorate their album "It's Fun," released in November 2012, they are currently embarking on the "It's Summer! It's Fireworks! It's Shinsei Kamattechan! Neko Neko Internet Tour" in 10 cities across the country. Misako also performs with Katchan as part of the twin drum unit "Band Ja Nai Mon!". They attracted attention when they appeared in Mikio Sakabe's 2013 Spring/Summer Collection.
