Designer Junichi Abe's kolor presented his Spring/Summer 2018 men's collection in Paris in the form of an exhibition. This season, he reimagined traditional Ivy League style through the brand's lens. A color palette evocative of Ivy League aesthetics was paired with a twist of checks and stripes, elevating traditional pieces to a calculated, effortless style. Based on slightly loose-fitting tops, wide tapered pants and shorts, and a shoe style that combines leather shoes and sandals, the collection incorporated unconventional and flexible ideas, such as zipper pockets and doll appliqués, while blazers adhered to traditional styles. Toggle accents were added to lettered cardigans, and, like the Childen knitwear, deformed emblems made a bold statement. Neon-colored lines were added to muted broadcloth jackets, and stripes and botanical motifs were combined with seersucker blousons, bringing a refreshing breeze to spring and summer.

Madras checks, enlarged as if viewed through a microscope, and multi-stripes with colorful colors layered randomly are also motifs that symbolize this season. Bold madras check jackets and coats in sax blue and gray have a gentle, genderless mood thanks to their intricate patterns and clever use of color.

In the women's collection, which was also announced, a stadium jumper adorned with a gold yarn emblem is made voluminous enough to cover the hips and has lace sleeves that are switched for a feminine look. Items that stand out with their unique shapes and high cutting techniques include trench coats featuring vibrant colors, crisp materials, and balloon sleeves, tops adorned with plenty of ruffles and frills, and dresses that combine argyle knitwear and striped cut-and-sew tops.
