On June 21, the first day of Paris Men's Fashion Week, FACETASM, the brand created by Hiromichi Ochiai, held its Spring/Summer 2018 men's collection show at Showroom Tomorrow, located near Place de la Bastille in Paris. The collection, titled "seek & find," explores clothing as a symbolic medium that simultaneously represents ethnic and cultural differences and serves as a common language for communication. It adds a rich variety of colors to express images and emotions. The brand's signature blend of opposing elements creates unique, pleasantly dissonant combinations. Take a single blouson, for example, where the knit rib at the hem is moved to the bodice for a patchwork look; a bathrobe coat is tailored from buckskin; and a pajama suit is paired with knit rib for a sporty look. The sense of incongruity and inconsistency adds strength to the pieces, always providing a fresh perspective for the viewer. The women's collection, which was also announced at the same time, featured many more decorative items, including raw-edge jackets with sculpted cuts around the bust and nylon organza bra tops. It showed a new dimension in adding a sexy touch to the street and sporty style that had been popular up until now.
