Huygens, a custom-made cosmetics brand from Paris, will hold a workshop that is "hard to get a reservation for in Paris"

Aug 13, 2017

HUYGENS, a bespoke cosmetics brand from Paris, will be holding its much talked about "Midsummer Bespoke Workshop" at its shop, HUYGENS TOKYO, from August 15th.

Established in 2013 in the Marais, Paris, HUYGENS offers custom-made fragrances formulated to order, modeled after a French pharmacy. Most of their products are certified by COSMEBIO, a French organic certification organization, and they use a completely bespoke manufacturing process. This workshop, held at Huygens Tokyo, which opened in 2016, (each session is approximately 75-90 minutes and accommodates two to three people) is divided into three steps. Step 1 is a skincare seminar titled "Seasonal Skincare (August to September) - Oil Seminar to Soothe Summer-Weathered Skin." Step 2 is an "Aroma Seminar - Discover New Fragrances" where participants can learn about aromatherapy. Step 3 is a "Bespoke Experience - Creating Original Cosmetics," where participants can don white lab coats and mix their own fragrances. The fragrances they mix can be chosen from 13 original oils made using only 100% certified organic oils, such as lavender, rosia, rosewood, and life tree. The finished product will be a gift. Applications began on August 10th. Participants can select their desired date on the application form (https://ssl.aispr.jp/huygens/form/workshop03/) and will be notified of the date via email at a later date. In addition, a 30% off coupon will be given on the day of the workshop.
