
The Forever Museum of Contemporary Art in Gion, Kyoto, held its pre-opening on June 10th, with the opening exhibition "Yayoi Kusama: My Soul Forever" running until October 29th.
The Yayoi Kusama collection is a major feature of the museum's collection. The first part of this opening exhibition will feature 81 pieces from the museum's total of 376 Yayoi Kusama pieces, including original works from 1950 to 2008 and prints from 1979 to 1990.
In addition, a public art piece measuring 5 meters in diameter will be on permanent display at the entrance, serving as the museum's symbolic piece.
