Founded in 1978 in Filatrano, Ancona, Italy, menswear brand The Lardini Group unveiled its "WOOSTER + LARDINI" capsule collection, a collaboration with fashion icon Nick Wooster, former fashion director of high-end American department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, at Pitti Immagine Uomo on June 18th. The two brands designed pieces for markets in Europe, the United States, Japan, and Korea. Lardini's expertise, vision, and sophisticated fabrics complement Wooster's unique styling in exquisite harmony. Four jacket styles are available, including playful styles like patchwork made from British cotton canvas. The bottoms are centered around slim trousers, but also feature voluminous Bermuda shorts. Shirts are button-down styles in stripes, oxfords, and polka dots. The collection features classic menswear styles in a color palette of gray, khaki, olive, and navy.
In a conversation between Lardini's creative director, Luigi Lardini, and Wooster, when asked when he realized the possibility of a collaboration, Lardini replied, "I felt it immediately when I first visited their office in Filottrano."
Details such as the release date of the Caprel collection have not been announced, but it is planned for global sales, and Wooster will also serve as a brand ambassador in the US market.
