Jul 12, 2014

KIEHL'S SINCE 1851, a skincare brand that began as a New York apothecary, will launch KIEHL'S Cream SP (50g/7,800 yen) in Japan on September 26th. Already available in countries around the world, this cream, also known as "Super Cream," sells at a rate of one per minute. It was developed for modern women seeking to simultaneously address multiple skin concerns, including wrinkles, firmness, dark spots, sagging skin, and enlarged pores. Its key ingredient is jasmonic acid, a compound produced by plants when damaged, which promotes repair. It is said to work on all layers of the skin, from the stratum corneum to the epidermis and the dermis beneath. It also contains beech tree-derived ingredients and hyaluronic acid, which enhance moisture retention. With a history spanning more than 160 years, KIEHL'S has developed enduringly popular products using unique methods based on its expertise in science, medicine, and herbs. The launch of this super cream in Japan is a message to busy women that "We are now in an era where we can intelligently leave our skin care to us."
