New woody fragrance from Escentric Molecules

Jul 29, 2014

British perfume brand Escentric Molecules will release its new fragrance, Molecule 03, on August 29th. Escentric Molecules was founded in 2006 by perfumer Geza Schoen, who has worked on hit fragrances for brands like Diesel, Jeff, director of the British branding company This Company, and the design company Me Company. Tim Blanks of style.com also oversaw the project. While fragrances typically contain blends of 50 to 200 ingredients, Escentric Molecules' fragrances feature a high concentration of a single synthetic fragrance. The brand's signature Molecule 01 also attracted attention for its 100% use of the synthetic fragrance "Iso E Super." Molecule 03 also uses a high concentration of the synthetic fragrance "vetiver acetate," which does not exist in nature. The scent is similar to that of vetiver, a grass family herb, and beneath the nostalgic yet captivating woody scent, there is a sense of strong core, as if it is firmly rooted. The price is 16,000 yen for 100ml.

In addition, travel-friendly color boxes will also be released at the same time for the brand's five fragrances, including existing fragrances. These will be 30ml in size and priced at 9,000 yen each.
