A fragrance that evokes the image of a lovely ballerina is now available at Parfums Rosine

Jul 15, 2014

Parfums de Rosine Paris will release a ballerina-themed fragrance, "Ballerina No. 1 Eau de Parfum" (50ml/12,000 yen), on September 1st. The fragrance was inspired by the Rose Ballerina, one of the first varieties planted in the rose garden established by founder Marie Helene Rogeon 15 years ago. Marie Helene described the flower as "fresh in color, pure and brilliant," and imagined young ballerinas shining brightly in the stage lights. Sparkling top notes of peach, bergamot, and pear are followed by elegant middle notes of rose, peony, and violet, and finish with the enveloping scent of milk and vanilla. The curved pink porcelain bottle also represents a graceful dancer.

Parfums Rosine was founded in 1991 at the Palais Royal in Paris by Marie-Hélène, who had experience in product development and marketing at companies such as Givenchy and Pierre Balmain. Named after the perfume "Rosine" created by her great-grandfather, Louis Panafieu, who was the official perfumer to Napoleon III, the brand is a limited-edition fragrance house offering a rose-scented series made with an abundance of natural fragrances, offering women "one-of-a-kind fragrances."
