The contemporary art group "Me" is holding its first Tokyo exhibition, "Unreliable Reality: The Location of This World," at the Shiseido Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo, from July 18 to August 22. Me member Haruka Kojin experienced a sensation of falling into the sky while lying down as a child. This experience inspired her to focus on the mysterious, yet usually unconscious, "unreliable reality." The exhibition unsettles the viewer's physical senses and opens their imagination to the "location of this world." The gallery features a familiar interior space. While viewers can connect the work to their own memories, the three-dimensional mechanism creates a sense of incongruity. Me is a contemporary art group formed in 2012 by Kenji Minamikawa and Hirofumi Masui of "wah document" to realize Kojin's ideas. He participated in the Sumida River Art Project in the same year, the Setouchi Triennale in 2013, and the Utsunomiya Museum of Art Outdoor Project, and his innovative style attracted attention. In the spring of 2014, he held a solo exhibition, "Array of Situations," at the Mitsubishi Estate Artium in Fukuoka.
