This year's MBFWT Designer's Cocktail Runway will be held in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO from March 12th to 22nd.
This event allows designers participating in the fashion week to each produce an original cocktail. During the event, original cocktails will be served at Mercedes-Benz Connection's UPSTAIRS and its pop-up bar, Cafe & Grill SIZZLe GAZZLe in Shibuya Hikarie. In addition to screening runway videos, original placemats will be provided, and a prize draw will be held with brand merchandise.
This year, in addition to the Italian sparkling wine "Martini," a new cocktail collection will be launched, based on the elderflower liqueur "Saint Germain." HANAE MORI offers "New York-Fusion & Coexistence," a nostalgic drink made with the sweet and sour flavors of vermouth and pineapple, plus milk. Meanwhile, CHRISTIAN DADA's "Valentine" combines America's iconic bourbon with the aroma of truffle oil to create a French vibe. It's inspired by the fusion of French and American influences in 1970s rock, and the passionate red of the Martini is a striking contrast. While Whiz Limited uses the brand's orange color, it adds a spicy kick with black pepper. YUMA KOSHINO is a gray cocktail made with slightly sweet vermouth, milk, and almonds, embodying the concept of "the fusion of opposites." This, along with the "MBFWT Official Cocktail" based on Saint-Germain, completes the lineup of five cocktails. The official cocktail will be served in a mini pitcher and will be made with elderflower, a flower with white blossoms, to represent the world of "pure white," the theme of the fashion week.
