Neal's Yard hosts superfood breakfast class, including tastings of chia seeds and maqui berries

Mar 13, 2015

British organic skincare brand Neal's Yard Remedies will host a "Superfood Beauty Seminar: Starting with Breakfast" on April 4th. Superfoods contain more than 12 essential nutrients and are said to be effective in managing health and improving skin quality. This event is being held in collaboration with Sunfood, an American superfood pioneer. Superfood concierge Takayuki Eguchi will be the guest instructor. At the event, participants will learn about superfoods like chia seeds, acai, and maqui berries, and learn how to prepare them deliciously and create original menu ideas. In addition, participants will be able to sample superfoods, organic granola, and special smoothies, providing inspiration for planning their own breakfast menu. Brown Rice, a vegetarian restaurant in Omotesando operated by Neal's Yard, will be offering a limited-time "Tofu Lemon Cake with Chia Seeds and Strawberry Sauce" (750 yen) from April 1st to 30th. Chia seeds are rich in dietary fiber, more than eight times that of brown rice, as well as omega-3 fatty acids, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and more, making them a delicious and easy-to-enjoy dessert.
