As part of Tokyo Fashion Week 2015, "AD-DRESSING: A Dialogue Between Fashion and Architecture" will be held from March 19th to 22nd at Lightbox Studio Aoyama.
The event aims to widely promote Austrian cutting-edge fashion brands. Their SS15 collection and AW15-16 collection will be exhibited. In addition, discussions will be held on topics such as, "Has the ambivalent relationship between form and function shifted toward form itself becoming function?" and "Can we say that in current design, form itself is determined by function, rather than creating form that follows function?", touching on fashion and architecture in the field of applied art.
A total of 10 brands will be participating in the event. From the women's perspective, brands like BRADARIC OHMAE, which focuses on women's fashion and accessories and creates hybrid pieces that incorporate cultural diversity and stereotypes, and MESHIT, which promotes the fusion of "girls" and "ladies" will be featured. DMMJK will offer items characterized by cuts that combine delicate materials with subculture and camouflage, while NATURES OF CONFLICT creates unconventional designs by redefining the composition of the whole and parts of a design.

Other accessory and bag brands that will be available include EVA BLUT, WERKPRUNK, MOTO DJALI, GON, HOUSE OF THE VERY ISLAND'S..., and SIGHT LINE, which mainly sell handmade accessories by their designers.

On the 20th, special guests will be fashion designer Edwina Horl and designers from matohu, who will host a talk event titled "A Dialogue on Fashion." Meanwhile, on the 21st, there will be a "A Dialogue on Architecture" event featuring designers such as Abe Ryo, who works on private homes as well as community projects, displays, and furniture design.
