The 8th Ginza Fashion Week, a joint event between Ginza Mitsukoshi, Printemps Ginza, and Matsuya Ginza, will be held from March 18th to 31st. This year's eighth event will share the common theme of "Enjoy Ginza," with each department store setting its own unique theme and offering fashion and events related to that theme. Ginza Mitsukoshi, with its "Sakura Blooming" theme, will be showcasing items celebrating the arrival of spring along with the cherry blossoms. Tory Burch will be releasing a limited edition shoulder bag (75,600 yen) from its Spring 2015 collection in a pink color reminiscent of cherry blossoms. Additionally, Diane von Furstenberg, which will be running a pop-up shop, will be showcasing a lineup of apparel incorporating flowers and pink in its designs, including a dress (85,320 yen). Meanwhile, Vendôme Boutique will offer brooches and earrings (7,560 yen each) shaped like real cherry blossoms. London-based accessory brand Ginta will also be releasing necklaces (42,120 yen), rings (8,640 yen), and brooches (9,072 yen) featuring delicately cut cherry blossom designs. Furthermore, kitchenware brand Le Creuset will be releasing a chiffon pink (32,400 yen) exclusive to the store from its "Fleur" collection. Other cherry blossom-themed sweets on offer include Ginza Kanra's "Mizu Sakura" (259 yen) and Ginza Meiri Cocon's "Kokon Kamayaki Sakura Castella" (756 yen). During Fashion Week, participating brands will hold a fashion show themed on "Spring Party Style," a talk show featuring stylist Naoko Okusa proposing spring trend styles, and a FASHION HEADLINE talk event called "Mode Magazine Chronicle." Printemps Ginza will also be offering a lineup of cherry blossom-inspired items under the theme of "Sakura." For sweets, MAGNOLIA BAKERY will be introducing the "Sakura Cupcake" (480 yen, tax included) garnished with cherry blossoms. Other items on offer include ANGELINA's "Sakura Mont Blanc" (486 yen, tax included) and NATURAL CREPE's "Sakura Crepe" (540 yen, tax included). Meanwhile, the apparel lineup includes dresses, pumps, handkerchiefs, stoles, and more, all with a floral motif. Items that allow you to enjoy the cherry blossom scent are also available, such as L'OCCITANE's Cherry Blossom Shimmering Body Milk (3,456 yen including tax), which uses moisturizing shea butter. Matsuya Ginza, which is themed "Nihon no Kokoro ~SAKURA~," is collaborating with artist Asami Kiyokawa to decorate the store's display windows and interiors with "Unico," Osamu Tezuka's final shojo manga. Furthermore, starting on the 25th, a full-color version of "Unico" will be available for presale in a special space on the second floor, ahead of the rest of the country. Reproductions of the original artwork will also be on display, and original character pin badges and special sets featuring the book and an original bag will be available exclusively at the department store. Pierre Hermé Paris' limited-edition macarons will also be available in exclusive Unico packaging. The museum will also host "Sakura Special Days," a collaborative event with Harper's Bazaar, featuring silhouette paper cutting services and a Sakura cocktail bar. A retrospective of luxury shoe and bag maison Roger Vivier will feature a display of valuable archive pieces and Japan-exclusive items from the 2015 Spring/Summer collection.
