LOG LOAD DAIKANYAMA, a commercial facility in Daikanyama, Tokyo, will open on April 17th. The facility, built on the former Toyoko Line track, covers a total area of 3,200 square meters and is 220 meters long. A walkway runs from one end of the long, narrow site, featuring stylish cottage-like buildings and lush landscaping, offering seasonal flowers and greenery. The first store to open will be Fred Segal, a lifestyle complex and secret shop, marking its first overseas and first appearance in Japan. A West Coast favorite beloved by Hollywood celebrities, the retailer will open three separate stores, each based on its signature category. One of these, Fred Segal WOMAN, will offer a lifestyle for the active modern woman, with the theme "Precious moment for my style." The store's lineup includes women's apparel, cosmetics, lifestyle goods, and more. Brands carried include MARNI, LANVIN, and 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Fred Segal MAN's concept is "Filling the needs and lifestyle of men with curiosity." While inheriting classic styles from various aspects such as fashion, street, vintage, and culture, the store will convey new styles through its own unique filter. In addition to men's apparel, the store plans to offer hobby and lifestyle goods, focusing on brands such as MARC JACOBS, Maison Margiela, and Lanvin.
Also, the food-focused "THE MARAT AT FRED SEGAL" will offer food and coffee with a West Coast flavor, inspired by the US West Coast, a region renowned for its pioneering organic and raw food scene, as well as lifestyle goods exclusively available in Japan. Camden's Blue☆Donuts, the popular doughnut shop from Poland, Oregon, will also open its first store in Japan. The adjacent "Fred Segal Kitchen Car" will offer casual food filtered through the shop's filter for a limited time.
Also, Kirin Beer's new business, "SPRING VALLEY BREWERY TOKYO," will be opening, offering craft beer brewed on-site. In addition to six craft beers available year-round, numerous limited-edition and experimental beers will also be available.
Also, from May onwards, Tartine Bakery & Cafe, a San Francisco bakery that has long lines and won the James Beard Foundation Awards, also known as the Oscars of food, is scheduled to open. In addition to the country bread and croissants that are the mainstay of the main store, the cafe will offer a menu that is tailored to the local climate and environment, made with original yeast developed in Japan. Meanwhile, coffee from Blue Bottle Coffee, which just opened its first Japanese store in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, will also be available.
