The Roppongi Art Night 2015 art festival will be held in the Roppongi district from April 25th to 26th. The main project, the Art Truck Project, was created by Seiichi Saito of Rhizomatiks. The "Haru" truck will be stationed at Tokyo Midtown Canopy Square. Based on the theme, "What would a city say if it were alive?", it aggregates various data about Tokyo and displays the situation in real time on a lantern display. Visitors can also input text or patterns on their smartphones, and the information is displayed on the truck, creating an interactive installation. Meanwhile, the "Akebono" truck, equipped with a giant mirror ball, will travel around Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown. It will feature live light performances and dance performances, based on a giant jungle gym installed at Roppongi Hills Arena. Other "city installations" will be installed in stores, parks, and roads throughout Roppongi. Hajime Kanno and Takahiro Yamaguchi will exhibit "SENSELESS DRAWING BOT," a drawing machine that won the New Artist Award in the Art Division of the Japan Media Arts Festival organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Meanwhile, Junichi Yamaoka will exhibit "Morphing Cube," a physical reproduction of geometric shapes drawn using computer graphics. Other events include "Street Performances," which aim to create an extraordinary evening. Performances include the "Dance Truck Project," which uses the back of an art truck as a special stage; the "Silent Dance Program," a silent dance performance in a park; and "Zummachango Fragment Box," a three- to 30-second play performed by flipping a switch. Furthermore, "Street Meetings" will feature interactive art programs. The "3rd Roppongi Yorakukai" will feature unscripted talk sessions with artists and writers at restaurants and bars in the area. Meanwhile, in the workshop "What was your dream yesterday?" planned by Hibino Katsuhiko, Hibino and participants will have breakfast together while drawing pictures of the dreams they had last night.
