As part of a related project to Roppongi Art Night 2014, to be held on April 19th and 20th, 2014, the "Roppongi Art Night School" will begin in January, revealing the production process leading up to the event's opening.

This is a new initiative for the fifth Roppongi Art Night, revealing the preparations three months, two months, and one month before the event. Panelists include Katsuhiko Hibino, artistic director of the event, as well as participating artists, curators, and staff.

In the "How to Create a Theme" session on January 10th next year, Hibino and the project team will discuss how the planning for Roppongi Art Night is progressing. In the "How to Incorporate Content into the City" session on February 20th, they will explain how specific programs by selected artists will be developed throughout the city. Additionally, the "How to Enjoy This Year's Art Night" session, where key staff will gather to discuss the highlights of the event, will be held on March 19th next year, when the entire program has been decided and detailed adjustments are being made.

Roppongi Art Night has been held since 2009 with the aim of proposing a lifestyle where people can "enjoy art in their daily lives" and "creating a pioneering model for urban development" in Tokyo. A wide variety of works, including contemporary art, design, music, and video, are displayed throughout the city, and last year a total of 830,000 people visited.
