The collaboration between Raf Simons and adidas, "adidas by RAF SIMONS," which began with the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection, continues into Spring/Summer 2015. A new version (priced at ¥60,500) of the classic "adidas by RAF SIMONS BOUNCE" sneaker has been released.
The upper features a Japonisme pattern reminiscent of Raf Simons' Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Two styles are available: a black-based version featuring checkerboard and chrysanthemum motifs, and a white-based version featuring autumn leaves and brush-ink lines. The hidden text "Changer" also hints at Raf Simons's intentions.
The irregular ring-shaped sole, another key feature, utilizes "Bounce," a high-rebound drive system developed by adidas in 2007. Different springs of varying hardness and size are incorporated into the outsole. Available sizes are 23.5 to 28.0 cm.
