Ermenegildo Zegna Couture has launched its "Made in Japan" project. Starting with the 2014 Spring/Summer collection, the brand's head designer, Stefano Pilati, collaborated with a new generation of Japanese artisans. While the designs are Italian, this capsule collection features all Japanese materials. The designers teamed up with Japanese brands like Ciccio's Noriyuki Kamiki, Yamagami Shirts, and apparel manufacturer BROWZE to create a full lineup of suits, jackets, blousons, shirts, shoes, bags, and accessories. Furthermore, the capsule collection's visuals were shot by Japanese photographer Takashi Homma. The cast includes actor Ryo Kase, creative director Kaie Murakami, chef Zaisuke Hasegawa, musician Keiichiro Shibuya, and architect Shohei Shigematsu. Five "key opinion leaders," each active in a wide range of fields, including film, business, and creative work, embody the capsule collection's unique concept of inviting young, talented Japanese talent to infuse the collection with even greater sensitivity and know-how.
All four "Made in Japan" lines will be available for presale at the Ginza Global Store from September 5th, followed by the Osaka Global Store in October. Experience the fusion of Stefano Pilati's designs with Japanese culture and tradition in Japanese tailoring and fabrics.
