This fall/winter, Carven welcomes a new designer to its 2014-15 Autumn/Winter women's collection.
The new Carven, created by Alexis Marshall, formerly the creative director of ICEBERG, and Adrienne Cayod, who has experience at Givenchy, offers a modest, demure silhouette and a 60s good girl vibe with a twist of rich colors.
The floral print dress (89,000 yen) in a psychedelic, hippie-inspired color combination was inspired by London girls who lived in Paris in the 60s and 70s. The striking pattern features violet, orange, and yellow flowers, but the separate collar and shirt-detailed sleeves exude a sense of well-bredness throughout.
The gently draped, flared hem sways nonchalantly with every step. This piece not only captures the key trend of retro-pop mood, but also exudes ladylike elegance.
