Geza Schoen is one of today's most talked-about perfumers. His two new fragrances, "Beautiful Mind," have recently arrived in Japan. To celebrate, a pop-up shop is open on the second floor of the ESTNATION Roppongi Hills store and the first floor of the Ginza store until September 30th. Geza is a perfumer who, at the age of 13, is said to have been able to distinguish between 100 different fragrances. His fragrance, "Ecentric Molecules," released in 2006 at the British department store Harvey & Nichols, achieved record sales that remain unsurpassed to this day. He pioneered a new field of perfumery: "anti-fragrance," which exudes the scent of human skin pheromones. The newly released fragrance, "Beautiful Mind Volume 1: Intelligence & Fantasy" (100ml, 27,000 yen including tax), is a collaboration with Christiane Stenger, the youngest woman to become a Grand Master at the World Memory Championships. Magnolia buds, hedione, and bergamot complement the creamy, sensual scent of tiare blossom, which is etched deep in Christiane's memory. "Beautiful Mind Volume 2: Precision & Grace" (100ml, 27,000 yen including tax) is a collaboration with the internationally acclaimed ballet dancer Polina Semionova. The fragrance begins with a light, breezy scent of pear and plum, evocative of Polina Semionova's home country of Russia, while the pepper in the middle note adds a powerful core. The designs express the strength hidden behind the light, graceful dance, almost like ballet itself.
Both packages were designed by the global visual design group "Me Company." "Beautiful Mind Volume 1: Intelligence & Fantasy" features the movement of neural pathways representing Christiane's incredible memory brain capacity, while "Beautiful Mind Volume 2: Precision & Grace" depicts the meditative state within the dancer's brain while performing.
Pop-up shops will be opening on the second floor of the ESTNATION Roppongi Hills store and the first floor of the Ginza store, where the new "Beautiful Mind" and the unprecedentedly successful "Ecentric Molecules" will be available for a limited time.
