Now in its seventh year, the "Gastronomic Festival: Paris-Tokyo Special," which offers a glimpse into the French lifestyle through gastronomy, art, and fashion, will be held from October 3rd to 4th at the Institut Français du Japon in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

The theme this year is "Paris-Tokyo." In addition to a market and a French flea market, the event will feature cooking demonstrations by Chef Amelie Darvas of Parisian restaurant Hai Kai, free French language lessons, a cheese seminar by Sachio Fukuhara, president of cheese wholesaler L'Ecluse, a wine seminar by French wine importer Luca Parno, a tea ceremony workshop by Ryotaro Matsumura, who has worked extensively as a film director, stage director, and creative director, and a Japanese sweets workshop by the creative Japanese sweets unit Wagashi Asobi.
