Tokyo National Museum holds "Outdoor Cinema" event. Nighttime opening also available.

Sep 28, 2015

The Tokyo National Museum will host "Outdoor Cinema at the Museum" on October 2nd and 3rd, in collaboration with the traveling cinema Kino Igloo.
The first "Outdoor Cinema at the Museum" event, held last year, was a huge success, attracting a total of 8,600 visitors over the two days. This year, the second event will feature "Night on the Galactic Railroad," a feature-length animated adaptation of Kenji Miyazawa's classic novel featuring Hiroshi Masumura's cat characters, directed by Gizabrough Sugii. To accommodate a wider audience, the film will be shown on a larger screen than the previous one.
In addition, the museum will be open in the evenings only on the screening day. After the film, visitors can view the special exhibition "The Art of Bulgari: 130 Years of Italian Beauty."
The same day, "A Journey at the Museum" will also be held, offering Asian exhibits and events, as well as Asian cuisine, Asian beer, and coffee.
