From September 8th to November 29th, BVLGARI will hold an exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum entitled "The Art of Bvlgari: 130 Years of Treasures of Italian Beauty," showcasing a selection of rare high jewelry pieces.
Bvlgari has created numerous pieces of jewelry inspired by the art and architecture of ancient Greek and Roman culture. Bvlgari's jewelry combines beauty and innovation to such an extent that even Andy Warhol, one of the most iconic 20th-century artists, said, "For me, visiting a Bvlgari store is like going to the best contemporary art exhibition."
The exhibition will feature approximately 250 rare archive pieces from Bvlgari's magnificent heritage collection spanning more than 130 years. The lineup includes a wide variety of items, including silver ornaments and Art Deco pieces made by the founding family, as well as jewelry worn by world-famous actresses such as Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly, and Sophia Loren. The exhibition also includes the costume worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the film "Cleopatra" (1963) and jewelry given to her by her husband, actor Richard Burton.
