"Roots of Kawaii: Naito Rune - Past, Present, and Future," an event showcasing the achievements and appeal of multi-creator Naito Rune, who established girls' pop culture in Japan, will be held from October 21st to 27th on the 2nd basement floor to the 6th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. (The 6th floor event venue is open until 6:00 PM on the 26th.)

On the 1st floor of the Main Building's The Stage, "Roots of Kawaii: Naito Rune's Room - Kyoto Villa Rune" will be exhibited, blending Naito Rune's worldview with autumn Kyoto. In collaboration with Kyoto-based illustrator Nakamura Yuki, a fictional space called "Naito Rune's Room" has been created.

In addition, the event hall on the 6th floor of the Main Building will host the "Roots of Kawaii: Naito Rune Exhibition - Never Give Up on Your Dreams," showcasing approximately 200 original drawings and original works. Additionally, a limited-time parfait shop called "RUNE PARLOR" will open, a triple collaboration between Shinjuku Takano, which is celebrating its 130th anniversary, Naito Rune, and Isetan. Visitors can enjoy original parfaits made with plenty of fresh fruits, such as muskmelon, strawberry, mango, apple, and pear, which have appeared in many of Naito Rune's works. Furthermore, the same floor will also feature the "Rune Shop," which will offer merchandise that will be released before the rest of the country, as well as limited-edition items prepared exclusively for this exhibition.
